The Chop Pot

Survive the chop.

Rank your picks against real NFL and college football lines. A losing round can chop you. The last players standing split the simulated pot.

Sample lines. In your league, the board shows this week’s real NFL and college lines.
  • Private ranked picks
  • Spreads, totals, underdog moneylines
  • Nothing worse than −200
  • Your line locks on submit
The shared pot

The pot belongs to the players still standing.

  • Same startEveryone starts with the same fictional play balance. Six players at $100 make a $600 pot.
  • Up to 25% rides each roundWhen tickets are built from everyone’s picks, up to 25% of the pot is allocated to them. The rest is held back, unless the last two or three players all agree to raise the stakes.
  • Survivors split the profitWhen a round’s tickets come in ahead, the profit is split equally among that round’s survivors.
  • Last ones standingThe league ends when one player is left, the round limit is reached or the pot drops under $1. If raised stakes empty the pot, everyone still in is chopped.
How it works

Four steps. One pot.

  1. Join your crew.

Your commissioner sends one invite link. Open it, enter your name, and you’re in the league.

  2. Rank your picks from live NFL or college football odds.

Privately rank posted spreads, totals and underdog or Pick’em moneylines from the weekly board. Picks are awarded in a rotating priority order, and each line locks when you submit.

  3. Win and survive. Lose and you’re chopped.

Only your own picks decide whether you stay in, even when they share a ticket with your crew. In Double and Weekend Chop, neither pick can lose; Slice Chop allows one rebuy after a first loss.

  4. Last survivors determine the simulated pot distribution under the league rules.

Every pot is play money. Nothing is bought, wagered or paid out.

Choose your chop

Four ways to play.

The commissioner picks one mode when the league is created, and every new league uses Pick Priority: ranked picks, awarded in a rotating order.

  • Classic Chop

One pick. One loss. You’re chopped.

One pick a round. Rank up to 4.

  • Double Chop

Two picks. Both have to hit.

Two picks a round from two different games; neither can lose. Rank up to 6.

  • Weekend Chop

    Survive Saturday. Survive Sunday.

One college pick and one NFL pick a round; neither can lose. Rank up to 4 of each.

  • Slice Chop

First loss, you’re sliced. Rebuy to survive. Lose again and you’re chopped.

One pick a round. Rank up to 4.

Standard Lines Default

The sportsbook’s posted spread or total, or an underdog or Pick’em moneyline. Every price is −200 or better.

Point Bank Optional

The commissioner can add a bank of 3, 6, 9 or 12 points per player for the whole chop: spend them on safer alternate spreads or favorite moneylines, or earn them back on harder lines, up to 3 points a pick.
